How does this fast measuring app work?
Your phone smartphone or tablet is turned into a modelization and digitalization tool. It relies on ARCore by Google and AI / ML algorithms. Machine learning combines the device sensors data (accelerometer gyroscope LIDAR depth ToF sensor…) with odometry which analyses in real time the video of the camera and relies on visual details of images in order to scan the environment and find the position and rotation angle of the device. The 2D photo reconstruction is done with a 3D virtual model built with photogrammetry.
