For the first time you can browse DApps on Android and have a mobile Ethereum node in your pocket! Status allows you to seamlessly interact with the emerging ecosystem of DApps wave goodbye to central intermediaries and take control of your data.


Important: Status is currently in alpha. This is a stripped down release it’s rough around the edges and runs only on the Ropsten and Rinkeby Testnets. We hope this alpha shows the beginnings of a friendly intuitive experience for Ethereum and what will be hopefully the start of a fantastic client for the Ethereum network.

What is Status?
Status aims to be a visual expression of what we believe Ethereum represents it is a mobile Operating System for the Ethereum Virtual Machine  —  more concretely Status is a hybrid between a decentralised encrypted instant messenger and a Web 3.0 browser  —  a gateway to the decentralised application ecosystem.

Alpha Features:

■ Light Client — Status runs a full implementation of Go Ethereum with the light client and Whisper protocols enabled.

■ Encrypted Messaging — built on top of the Whisper protocol enabling decentralized one-on-one group chats and social payments.

■ Browse DApps — Seamlessly interact with the emerging ecosystem of DApps using Status' Web 3.0 browser.

■ Ether Wallet — a 'default' wallet to provide ETH storage send/receive transaction a QR reader and transaction logs.

■ Discover — a hashtag-based search where users can find other Status users and other DApps.
