Están en la obligación de inscribirse en el Registro Tributario Nacional a aquellos contribuyentes responsables de las siguientes obligaciones:

1. Todas las personas naturales o jurídicas nacionales o extranjeras domiciliadas en el país como contribuyentes con obligaciones tributarias materializa como: pago de impuestos tasas y contribuciones.
2. Contribuyentes con obligaciones formales: por presentación de diferentes declaraciones de impuestos y retenciones.

3. Contribuyentes con obligaciones tributarias :
 Los importadores exportadores y los que reapliquen gestión de compra venta al por mayor.
 Las sociedades legalmente constituidas de acuerdo al Código de Comercio.
 Las sociedades extranjeras que realicen operaciones en Honduras.
 Las sociedades irregulares de Hecho.
 Las Sucesiones Indivisas (Herencias Indivisas).
 Las instituciones de Beneficencia y las Agrupaciones Organizadas con fines científicos políticos culturales o deportivos sin fines de lucro y que tengan empleados bajo su cargo.
 Las Cooperativas de cualquier grado.
 Las Instituciones Desconcentradas.
 Las Instituciones Descentralizadas.
 Otros.

4. Instituciones que deben inscribirse para fines de control :
 Secretarías de Estado
 Instituciones Autónomas
 Instituciones Semi-Autónomas
 Corporaciones del Estado
 Alcaldías

Adónde se realiza: En las oficinas de la Dirección Ejecutiva de Ingresos y en la Cámara de Comercio e Industria de Tegucigalpa.

Los requisitos para solicitar el Registro Tributario Nacional Numérico:

Persona Natural
1. Formulario DEI-410 Declaración Jurada de Inscripciones e Inicio de Actividades debidamente llenado.
2. Copia de Tarjeta de Identidad (hondureño).
3. Copia de Pasaporte (Extranjero).
4. Copia de Tarjeta de Identidad para Centroamericano (excepto Costa Rica)

Comerciante Individual
1. Llenar formulario DEI-410 Declaración Jurada de Inscripciones e Inicio de Actividades.
2. Copia de la Escritura de Constitución de Comerciante Individual o Nota de parte del Notario autorizante con indicación del número del instrumento el nombre comercial domicilio y giro de la actividad económica.
3. Copia de la Tarjeta de Identidad.

Si por pérdida o deterioro del Registro Tributario Nacional generado por la DEI el responsable o contribuyente requiere reponerlo debe efectuar su solicitud mediante el formulario DEI 410 Declaración Jurada de Inscripciones e Inicio de Actividades a fin de emitirle un nuevo documento para lo cual deberá cancelar previamente la cantidad de Lps. 200.00 utilizando el formulario DEI 252 251 253 o 254 Recibo Oficial de Pago.

Individual trader
1. Fill form DEI-410 Affidavit of Registration and Start of Activities ".
2. Copy of the Individual Merchant's Deed of Constitution or Note from the authorizing Notary with indication of the instrument number commercial name address and business activity.
3. Copy of the Identity Card.

If due to loss or deterioration of the National Tax Registry generated by the DEI the responsible party or taxpayer must replenish it he must make his application through form DEI 410 "Affidavit of Registrations and Start of Activities" in order to issue a new document for which must previously cancel the amount of Lps. 200.00 using the form DEI 252 251 253 or 254 Official Receipt of Payment.
