少なくとも江戸時代から遊ばれていた日本の伝統的なボードゲームです。武蔵側と捕り手側でルールが異なるのが特徴です。
十六武蔵は捕り手側が有利なので、武蔵は77手以上逃げ切れば勝ちになるルールが設けられています。
最も強いAIは、かなり手強いです。AI-LVごとに成績が残ります。
さらには対戦中に武蔵・捕り手それぞれの手番とAI-LVを自由に設定可能です。
デフォルトはタッチ操作を想定しますが、縦画面仮想キー操作、横画面仮想キー操作など多彩な操作が可能です（切り替えはアプリ終了画面より可能です）。
