In einem interdisziplinären Verbund und mit einer transdisziplinären Forschungsmethodik entwickelt das Projekt ANTARES der Universität Siegen eine digitale Therapieinfrastruktur zur Behandlung von Nikotinsucht aus ethischen gesellschaftlichen und sozialwissenschaftlichen Perspektiven. Der aus der psychotherapeutischen Forschung bekannte „Approach-Avoidance-Task (AAT) ist ein erfolgsversprechender Ansatz für die Suchttherapie der bislang nur als einfache stationäre Desktop-PC-Anwendung eingesetzt wird. Mit dem Ziel der Nutzbarmachung für die breite Gesellschaft wird in ANTARES eine mobile Smartphone-App entwickelt welche die AAT-Therapie in den Alltag der zu behandelnden NutzerInnen integriert. Das Projekt ANTARES folgt dabei einem experimentell-evaluativen Designansatz bei dem Konzeption technische Implementierung und Evaluation iterativ und eng miteinander verzahnt stattfinden. Mit diesen medizininformatischen Innovationen leistet ANTARES einen Beitrag zur Therapie von Nikotinsucht als eines der gesellschaftlich schwerwiegendsten und folgereichsten Problemen zur Skalierbarkeit der Therapie von Suchterkrankungen und zur Translation der Grundlagenforschung hin zur klinischen Anwendung.
In an interdisciplinary network and with a transdisciplinary research methodology the ANTARES project of the University of Siegen is developing a digital therapy infrastructure for the treatment of nicotine addiction from an ethical social and social science perspective. The Approach Avoidance Task (AAT) which is known from psychotherapeutic research is a promising approach to addiction therapy that has so far only been used as a simple stationary desktop PC application. With the aim of making it usable for the broader society a mobile smartphone app is being developed in ANTARES which integrates AAT therapy into the everyday life of the users to be treated. The ANTARES project follows an experimental-evaluative design approach in which conception technical implementation and evaluation take place iteratively and closely interlinked. With these medical information innovations ANTARES makes a contribution to the therapy of nicotine addiction as one of the most socially serious and consequential problems to the scalability of the therapy of addictions and to the translation of basic research into clinical application.
