Le Coran (en arabe : القُرْآن al-Qor’ân? signifiant « la récitation ») est le texte sacré de l'islam. Pour les musulmans il reprend verbatim la parole de Dieu. Le Coran est parfois appelé simplement al-kitâb (le livre) adh-dhikr (le rappel) ou encore al furqân (le discernement).
