Pomodoro Timer - Time Balance / Description

Time Balance is a beautiful and easy-to-use time tracking app with a focus on setting goals. Whether you’re a student preparing for an exam a freelancer working on a client project or someone who wants to stop procrastinating: Time Balance helps you put in the hours to reach your goals and keeps you on track.

FLEXIBLE POMODORO TIMER
Time Balance comes with an integrated pomodoro timer. The pomodoro technique is ideal for those who struggle with procrastination by breaking work into short manageable intervals.

How it works:
- Work for 25 minutes. That’s one pomodoro
- Take a short 5-minute break
- After 3 pomodoros take a longer 10-minute break
- Repeat until your work is done

At the end of a pomodoro or break a notification* will remind you to take a break or to get back to work.

You can customize:
- The length of a pomodoro
- The length of short and long breaks
- The number of pomodoros needed for a long break
- Whether to count down or to count up

The pomodoro settings are project based so you can set different settings for different projects.

The pomodoro timer of Time Balance is flexible. When you’re in the flow you can simply work beyond your set pomodoro duration: You decide when to take a break. If you want to end your break early just tap the play button and continue working. If you need to pause the timer before your pomodoro ends you can either resume where you left off restart the pomodoro or skip to the next one.

Your time tracking sessions are independent of your pomodoros: As soon as you pause the timer the session is saved with its start/end time and duration even if you haven't completed the pomodoro ensuring no time tracking progress is lost.

SET TIME GOALS
When you create a project you can set a time goal. You can choose between the following goal types:

- Daily goal (meditate 30 minutes a day read a book for an hour each day)
- Weekly goal (study Spanish 7 hours a week)
- Monthly goal (work on a client project 90 hours a month)
- Fixed goal (learn programming 500 hours in total)
- Goal with a deadline (study 90 hours for an upcoming exam setting the exam date as your deadline)

Setting goals is optional. You can create projects without a goal if you just want to track time.

DAILY WORKLOAD
If you set a weekly monthly or fixed goal with a deadline Time Balance will calculate how much you need to work each day to reach your goal time. This daily goal automatically adjusts based on the time you actually work on your project.

Example:
Suppose you want to study 7 hours for an exam that is due in 7 days. You create a project Study for exam set 7 hours as the goal duration and the exam date as the deadline. Under the daily workload section you’ll see that you need to study 1 hour a day to reach that goal.

Day 1: You procrastinate and don't study at all.
Day 2: With 6 days remaining you now have to study 1 hour and 10 minutes a day to reach 7 hours. You study for 2 hours instead to make up for the first day.
Day 3: You’re back on track. Your workload comes back down to 1 hour a day. Today you feel especially motivated and study for 3 hours.
Day 4: Now you’re ahead of schedule. For the remaining days you only have to study 30 minutes a day to reach 7 hours.

TASKS & TAGS
When you track time you can choose the task you’re currently working on. On the tasks screen you can view how much time you have spent on each one of them. You can also add tags to filter tasks.

PROJECT GROUPS
You can create custom groups like "Work" "Study" and "Personal" to keep your projects organized.
