At the core of effective development in any sport including
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lies the ability to track your progress and
analyze your achievements. This is why we created this app – to
help you systematically track and evaluate various aspects of your
training sessions.
After each training session we encourage you to assess four key aspects: technique tactics physical conditioning and psychology. We use a simple 5-point scale for this allowing you to quickly and intuitively record your perception of each aspect.
Self-assessment provides you with an opportunity to actively participate in the progress tracking process and promotes mindfulness and motivation. Regular self-assessment practice will also help you better identify your strengths and weaknesses allowing you to focus on areas that need improvement.
While self-assessment is a valuable tool we recommend using it in combination with other progress tracking methods to gain a more comprehensive and objective picture. We advise you to regularly discuss your progress with coaches and training partners analyze competition results and other objective metrics such as mat time and win/loss ratio.
Combining subjective self-assessment with objective metrics will give you a balanced view of your development and help you make informed decisions about further steps to improve your skills.
