SAM supports people with autism in dealing with daily experienced stress.

Stress Autism Mate (SAM) App is a scientifically based personalized application created for and by people with autism spectrum disorder. The app was developed by GGz Centraal in co-creation with clients with autism and in collaboration with the research organization TNO.

With SAM you can:
• Fill out a questionnaire 2 to 4 times a day
• Based on these questionnaires determine your current stress level
(SAM uses a scientifically validated algorithm for this)
• Get an overview of the moments and your daily activities that go well and those that go less well
• Get tips to reduce your stress at any time of the day
• Enter your own tips or try those of others

But also:
• Use the diary to write down your thoughts and feelings
• Customize the settings so that the application suits you well
• Discuss your weekly overview with a friend loved one or practitioner (but only if you want to you are in control)
